I've been working with a youth outreach program here in San Francisco to try and get assistance during this difficult situation. As my disability prevents me from working regular hours, I've been primarily living off commissions and what I earn walking dogs through Wag. It's been really hard on my wrists and knees but it's the most I can commit to right now. Hopefully with physical therapy and other medical treatment I can find a job that can accommodate me and my needs but at the moment this is the best I've got.
I'm hoping to get into a transitional housing program for LGBT youth that helps offset the living costs by offering low-cost housing to kids between 18-24. However, the person who runs it is out on vacation until next week... currently I'm staying with some friends in the outer richmond district but I don't want to overstay my welcome here.
